With the concert project RESONANS, Rostamo-Borregaard Duo wants to convey a collection of musical testimonies from different religious, spiritual or otherwise human existential standpoints.
In addition to Sofia Gubaidulina’s “In Croce”, which both conceptually and compositionally illustrates the crucifixion of Jesus, and Jouni Kaipainen’s pantheistically based “Elemental Chanting”, RESONANS presents a brand new commissioned work by Swedish composer Britta Byström, “Epiphanies” referring to sudden revelations of God´s presence in our everyday lives.
Rick and Johannes, two close friends have been leading their sections in the two rivalling Stockholm orchestras more than a decade now and in the meantime they have run a concert series together with Stockholm Syndrome Ensemble experimenting on the concert constellation for more than 40 projects.
Stockholm Syndrome Ensemble represents an idea, a form of expressing music as much as it is a music group. Friends keen to try and experiment with a new type of concert - let’s call it a happening rather than a concert.
